Recent Beauty Buys

1| L'OrĂ©al Paris Telescopic Mascara  2|Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades Way to Go  3| Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Light Flush  4| Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

Here's a few of my recent purchases this month everything apart from the the Collection 2000 bronzer are from Ebay. I know there are lots of fakes out there so I am really wary when buying, personally I dont like buying from a seller who has more than one for sale, as I've been scammed once or twice

I'm always on the hunt for the perfect foundation, as i'm really pale and hate the idea of being darker than I am.  I found it hard to see online comparisons before buying as some brands you can't buy instore.
Estee Lauder double wear in 1C1 Shell
Estee Lauder Double Wear has been my all time fav for since I first started using it in college about 2/3 years ago and love it.  Although the colour is perfect for it does last and feels amazing.
Avon Ideal Flawless in Light Pink
I brought this foundation as I've read some really good reviews online and when recieving my Avon book saw it was only £7 and thought I'd give it ago. I ordered the palest in the range as I always do as I believe its better to be paler and add colour. When it arrived I tried it straight away and wasn't too happy with the colour ( see colour swatch below). Also it really didn't last as I'm used to Double wear it really didn't stand up to it which I know its only a 'drug store foundation'. Also my skin felt really greasy and felt like I needed to wash it off more or less straight away. I really wouldn't recommend it for combination/oily skin maybe people with dry skin would be better suited.

Double Wear Maximum Cover in 11 Very Light

When I finished the sample of this foundation I brought it the next day as the love the coverage when its blended well otherwise it looks cakey and thick. Yet again the colour is abit dark than my colouring but blending it well I find I feel comfortable with. I use this foundation when I break out as you really dont need and concealer, as it kinda of a all in one.

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in No.02
I've been after this foundation for ages but theres no store by me and was worried which shade to buy as I didn't want to waste money. When Debenhams finally had it in stock in shade 2 I brought it. I've only used it twice but so far I'm loving it and its a perfect shade for me, it looks like I haven't got any on. Its buildable coverage as isn't super heavy like Double Wear.

Mother's Day

Just thought I'd do a quick post see as its mothers day and I haven't posted in a while. This is abit out of the norm for me, as I normal post of beauty and fashion related topics but today its a bit more personal. I am truly grateful for everything my Mom does and couldn't be without her.

My Mom & Me :)
I know its strange to some people to celebrate Nan's as well because its 'mothers' day but in my family we always do. I lost my Nan at the end of last year and not a day goes by where I don't think and miss her with all of my heart. Hope you have an amazing mothers day and show how much you appreciate your Mom and Nan ;)

17 Miracle Matte Foundation

Last week while looking in Boots at the make up I saw this new foundation which was on offer at £4.99 instead of £5.99. Thought I'd try it as Ive never got on with 'drugstore' foundation. The colour is a pretty good match slightly dark than my skin tone but nothing I wouldn't leave the house wearing. The coverage is medium and does what it says at controlling oil but doesn't last all day so touch ups is needed. Overall its worth the price and I'll be using it as one of my back ups.

Make Up Academy Lipstick Shade 11

I don't really owned that many lipsticks so while shopping I brought a few from MUA at superdrug although the superdrug near me isn't stocked well. I love this shade it's different from the ones I have already as I tend to buy pale pink whereas this is a deeper natural shape with a hint of shimmer. And for only £1 there a bargin even if they last half an hour. Most of the shades don't have any names this is shade 11, I've just been online and they are selling new lipsticks with names now which I would buy online but postage is more than the actual lipstick

Estee LauderDouble Wear Maximum Cover Makeup foundation £26.50

While in Birmingham for uni I went into Debenhams to re-purchase my usual foundation Estee Lauder Doubler wear and asked for a sample of the maximum. I tried it straight away when I got home and couldn't believe how it blended onto my skin and the coverage is amazing. Estee Lauder is the only foundation I've found that is a match to my skin. After these results I've since exchange my normal double wear for this, its the same price and you dont need as much as the coverage is amazing. The foundation does last but I need to purchase a powder to set it if anyone can recommend any?

Skin Care Update

bareMinerals Deep Cleansing Foam

Brought this cleanser to use with Clarisonic as I feel I needed a foaming cleanser to get a deep clean. I've found with my skin once it gets use of a product I begin to break out, so to keep it under control I've been using 3/4 cleansers and using them every other day and it seems to be working. I've read before your skin needs to get used of a product before it works effectively but this seems to be the opposite for me. Overall this cleanser is really good and leaves my skin feeling really fresh. Its only £12.75. I would recommend it for anyone with combination skin.

Skin Care Update

Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System
Brought my clarisonic the beginning of Janurary and wanted to give it few months before telling you about it. for atleats 3 weeks of using it morning and evening it made my skin worse as in spots but the texture of my skin felt so soft and had a nice feel to it. After reading various comments I've decided to only use it on a evening as it removes make up so well. I always remove my make up before using it with a cleanser and I can't believe how much it removes. I'm still battling with my skin but the texture much better and the main reason of my blogging was the price I brought mine off ebay for buy it now from a seller in America but even with the postage it was cheaper than anywhere in the UK and it came within a week. Although I had to buy a adaper which was £1.99 but its a huge saving if you really want one in came package in the box with a small cleanser. I paid £69.64 plus £15.13 and the seller still is selling heres the link

Picked up like shimmer me blush while in Asda today, don't think I've brought any of thier make up before. This caught my eye as its a copy of the Benefit shimmer brick but at less of the price at £4.50, they come in various shades. To be honest for the a mount of times I'll use it because glitter isn't everyday item, its ok not much colour comes out only glitter unless you push the brush into it

Haven't posted from a while as I have been busy with uni work which I hand in Friday plus I wanted to save up some recent buys to show you. Currently at uni I'm in my second year and at the moment were choosing our pathway option which is such a big decision to make, in the end I've choose to do a Communication pathway which is like trend forecasting and branding.

Primark Jumper £12

Topshop Trousers £38
Here's just a few things I've brought over this week. Have been wanting these trousers for ages they first came out a few months ago in green and sold out quickly, so didn't hesitate to buy them when I saw them instore.Love the fit of the trousers and they are so comfy to wear. Yet again i'm going on about prices but I do think Primark clothes are getting more expensive but really wanted this playsuit (obsessed with collars) being petite didn't think it would fit me.

All things beauty related

Hope everyone has had a amazing Christmas and New Year sorry not blogged for a while couldn't think of much to say and have been busy with uni etc. Thought I'd share some beauty items I've brought recently which I think are amazing.
If you read my blog you will know I constantly struggle with bad skin and have for years, this Estee Lauder purchase was pretty pricey for me but I've read lots of good reviews on it and thought I'd give it ago when student finance came through! It's only been a few days and I've notice a huge different in my skin, using it a night before moisturiser if akes my skin feel so nice. Anyway I update you on the product. I managed to find it on ebay for buy it now £10 cheaper than buying direct from Estee Lauder. I would recommend a look.

This Bourjois rotating mascara is another purchase which I have read lots about. I've never really found a mascara which I would recommend and go back time and time again to buy but I really love this product. Its the only mascara I've found which I don't get clumps. If you know me then you will know I like to get the best for my money so I'm always on Ebay. This is where I brought this from, you can also purchase it from ASOS.
These brushes were a bargain a £3.50 from ELF which I brought over the weekend as they had free postage. I always read blogs and see people using MAC brushes I want but there just to pricey for me so I decided to try these. There really good and would highly recommend these ELF brushes their the best "cheap" brushes I've tried.
Hope everyone has enjoyed the post I've love to hear your comments!
